Agathe & Eddy's wedding preparations started early in the morning for Agathe at the hairdressers and make-up artist. Unlike many French couples they decided to keep their wedding outfits a secret from each other (much like the British tradition that I'm used to) and asked me to capture the 'First Look' moment. It was a beautiful moment that provoked tears from both the bride and the groom and this was just the first of several occasions during the day for this emotional couple.
I always carry a small packet of tissues in my pocket on a wedding day, particularly for the church ceremony. I'm often one of very few people who are in front of a couple as they say their vows and I'm also often the first person to see their tears begin so, if they don't seem to have any tissues I can discreetly approach them and hand a coupe to them so that they can quickly refocus on the vows they're saying to each other.
Agathe & Eddy put a lot of effort into the design and creation of they're wedding invites which were professionally designed and printed so they were completely unique. They developed this theme in the decoration of the hall, with elegant menus and place names for the tables.
As you'll see I also captured a few portraits of their children. I always try to do this for couples who already have children so they have a special souvenir of them on their wedding day.
