I love snow! There you go, I've said it. I'm a wife and mother of three children, but when it snows I become like a small child again.

It snowed this week in Normandy. The Orne county had more than we had but I couldn't resist grabbing my camera to capture a few images before it melted. Normally when it snows, as we live in the countryside we can't get out by car but for the first time the snow was only 3cms thick and the roads were clear meaning I could venture further afield.

The first half I spent in and around my village, Montbray, where I live in the Manche county. The snow wasn't very deep but it was the sort of snow that settled on branches and stuck to tree trunks so it was really beautiful, even under a cloudy sky.

The first half of my morning was spent around Saint Sever in the Calvados county, where I (carefully) drove to different areas of the Saint Sever forest. By the time I arrived home at lunchtime the snow had already melted in the sunshine and was thrilled to have managed to have captured some images before it disappeared.
